Designed by Hsiu-Hsiu Yu, the Fantasy office design draws inspiration from the fanciful industrial atmosphere of Universal Studios. Unlike traditional office designs, this project incorporates whimsical elements such as coffee cups, Minions, and princess castles.
What sets this office design apart is its location in the CBD building, known for its remarkable exterior. To complement the building's architecture, the designer employs unique and stylish 3D methods in the office decorations. The result is an ingenious and congruous blend of futuristic materials and colors.
The office entrance sets the tone with an Iron Man figure and a 3D model of the Earth, reminiscent of the Universal Studios experience. The conference room is delicately decorated to evoke the allure of movie scenes, while the small lounge features a Minion figure sitting on a coffee cup and a booth resembling a pumpkin carriage.
The office space spans 105 square meters and encompasses various departments, including sales, engineering, telephone technology R&D, marketing, executive offices, conference rooms, and training rooms. The layout and traffic flows of the space contribute to an energetic and cozy ambience.
Challenges in the design process were overcome with creative solutions. The big conference room, located in the center of the office, showcases arc wood craftsmanship and unique methods to create a semi-transparent, robotic, and sleek atmosphere. The loft-style design elements, such as exposed ceiling pipelines, island-style office furniture, track lighting, and diverse iron adornments, add character to the space.
The office also features a terrace adorned with wooden seats and booths, further enhancing the design's specialty and humanity. The overall result is a workspace that combines functionality with a touch of fantasy, creating an inspiring environment for the technology company's employees.
The Fantasy office design, completed in Taipei City, Taiwan, has been recognized for its excellence. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
